Co-op & Career Services

What we do

Wrenford Polytechnic Co-op & Career Services helps you connect your studies to real work. Our team runs the co-op work terms for eligible programs, hosts employer events, and gives you one-on-one advice on resumes, interviews, and career paths. You do not need to be in a co-op program to use our career resources.

Where to find us

Our office is in the Kingfisher Building, Room 410, on the Benchlands Campus. We are open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call us at 519-555-0183, or book an appointment online through myWrenford.

Co-op work terms

If your program includes co-op, you will complete paid work terms before you graduate. The number of terms depends on your credential. Co-op programs include three paid work terms; BAPP degrees include one 14-week placement. Our co-op advisors meet with you early to prepare your resume, practice interview skills, and find a placement that matches your career goals. Read more about how co-op works and check the co-op work term rules for eligibility and grading details.

Career advising

Even if your program does not require co-op, you can still get help finding jobs, internships, or volunteer roles. Book a free 30-minute resume review appointment to get feedback on your formatting and tailoring. Our staff also review professional e-mail check drafts sent to prospective employers. Visit the job board to see full-time, part-time, and temporary postings from local employers.

Events and workshops

We host employer networking events and job fairs each term. These are free to attend and a good way to meet hiring managers. View the upcoming events calendar to see dates and locations. You can also sign a standard employment contract with your co-op employer through our contract review service to make sure your rights and wages are protected.
