Careers at Wrenford Polytechnic

On-campus employment and career pathways

Wrenford Polytechnic offers a wide range of paid student jobs and work-integrated learning opportunities across both our Benchlands and Mercer Street campuses. Working on campus helps you build professional skills, earn money to support your education, and connect with faculty and staff who can mentor you through your program.

Where to find student jobs

Open positions appear on the student employment dashboard every Monday morning. On-campus employers include the college itself, student associations, campus stores, and private contractors who provide services on site. You must complete the required new-hire paperwork with your employer within five business days of starting work.

Co-op and work placements

Many of our programs include mandatory work terms that are fully integrated into your curriculum. Co-op programs include three paid work terms, while our four-year applied bachelor's degrees include one 14-week placement. Our team helps you secure placements with industry partners across Ontario and beyond.

Career development and planning

Beyond your program requirements, you can access career coaching, resume reviews, and interview preparation through our career services office. We also host networking events, employer information sessions, and campus recruitment fairs throughout the academic year. Visit our career services page to book an appointment or learn about upcoming workshops.

Student-run roles and athletics

The student association and our varsity athletics program, the Wrenford Kestrels, regularly hire students for administrative, operations, and event support roles. These positions provide flexible scheduling around your classes and give you hands-on experience in team leadership and project management.
