What you will learn
You will build a strong foundation in how modern organisations run. The program covers core business functions, including marketing, finance, human resources, and operations. You will learn to analyse market trends, manage budgets, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Through case studies and team projects, you will practice solving real business problems and preparing professional reports.
How the program runs
The program is delivered full-time and runs over three years, or six terms. You will attend classes, complete assignments, and participate in workshops and group work. The schedule is designed to give you enough time to focus on your studies while also allowing room for co-op placements.
Terms and campus
Classes begin in September and January. Because this program spans both the Benchlands Campus and the Mercer Street Campus, you will take courses at both locations. You will use the business and media facilities at the downtown Mercer Street Campus, and access the central library, testing centre, and student services on the main Benchlands Campus.
Co-op work terms
Co-op is a required part of this program. You will complete three paid work terms spread across your studies. Each placement puts you inside a real business where you can apply what you have learned in class. You will work alongside professionals, build your resume, and receive an employer reference. The Co-op & Career Services office helps you find placements and prepares you for interviews, and there is no extra fee to participate in a co-op work term.
Admission
Applicants must hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent credential. Mature students who are 19 or older by the start of classes are also welcome to apply. For the English requirement, you must complete Grade 12 English (C or U) with a minimum grade of 60 per cent. International applicants must provide proof of English proficiency through an approved test or equivalent completed education. Admission is processed on a first-come, first-served basis until program capacity is reached.
Tuition and fees
Domestic tuition for 2026–27 is $3,620 per year. This fee covers your full-time course load for the academic year. You will also pay ancillary fees of $1,125 per year, which support campus services like the library, health centre, and athletics facilities. If you need to manage payments, you can request a tuition payment plan through Student Financial Aid. Tuition and fees are due before the start of each term.
After you graduate
Graduates are ready to step into entry-level management and administrative roles. You will have the practical skills to work in marketing, finance, operations, or human resources. Many graduates find positions with local employers, regional manufacturers, and service organisations across Ontario. The three co-op work terms give you a professional network and a strong portfolio that make you stand out to hiring managers.
How to apply
Domestic full-time applicants apply through the provincial college application service. You can also use the service to change your program choice or check your application status. International applicants apply on the polytechnic's own form. If you need help with the application, contact the Admissions office or visit the How to apply page for step-by-step instructions.
