About the department

Welcome to the Marketing & Communication department in the School of Business & Media. You will study two subject streams here: MKTG for marketing strategy and customer engagement, and PRCM for public relations and brand storytelling. Our courses blend classroom theory with real projects so you can graduate with a portfolio that shows employers exactly what you can do.

Programs

We offer four programs that cover everything from traditional advertising to digital campaigns and corporate communications. You can choose from our full-time and part-time options to fit your schedule:

Facilities and labs

Our department is based in the Mill Building on the Mercer Street Campus. You will spend time in our dedicated marketing labs, where you can practice campaign planning, social media management, and analytics software. You also have open access to the Market Square Studios for video production and photo shoots, as well as the Student Union Building for testing focus groups and event coordination.

Department leadership

The department is led by Chair Lucía Ferrante, who brings years of industry experience to guide our curriculum and support student success. If you have questions about course selection or career pathways, the department office is happy to help you plan your next steps.
