What you will learn
The Fitness & Health Promotion program gives you a practical foundation in human movement, exercise science and community wellness. You will study how the body responds to physical activity, how to design safe and effective exercise plans and how to support people in building lasting healthy habits. Courses cover kinesiology, exercise physiology, nutrition and health promotion strategies. You will also develop professional communication skills to work with clients, health teams and community organisations. Hands-on labs and simulated placements let you practice fitness assessments, program design and client coaching in real-world settings.
How the program runs
This full-time program runs over four terms at the Benchlands Campus. Classes begin in September each year. You will attend lectures, participate in practical labs and complete field placements in local health and recreation facilities. The curriculum is designed to balance theory with applied skills, so you graduate ready to work in fitness centres, community health programs, wellness clinics and corporate health settings. All required textbooks and lab equipment are provided through the program fee.
