Courses

What you will learn

In this program, you will learn how to design, install and maintain computer networks and systems. You will work with industry-standard tools to configure servers, set up cloud services, and manage databases. The curriculum covers networking fundamentals, system administration, cybersecurity basics, and scripting languages that keep IT environments running smoothly.

You will also develop strong communication skills to document technical processes, write clear reports, and explain complex IT concepts to non-technical users. Through hands-on labs and project work, you will solve real-world problems that mirror the tasks you will face in the workplace. You will graduate with a solid foundation in both the hardware and software that power modern organisations.

How the program runs

The program is delivered full-time on the Benchlands Campus and runs for two years (four terms). You can begin your studies in September or January. Classes and labs are held in the Tamarack Building and the Escarpment Building, where you will practice setting up hardware, configuring network infrastructure, and managing operating systems.

As a co-op program, your studies include three paid work terms. These placements let you apply what you learn in the classroom while building professional experience that employers value. You will work with local businesses, government offices, and technology firms across the region. The co-op experience helps you build a professional network and often leads to full-time job offers before you even graduate.
