About Accessibility Services
Accessibility Services supports students with physical, learning, mental health, or medical conditions. We work with you to remove barriers so you can focus on your studies. This page answers common questions about eligibility, documentation, and how accommodations work in your classes.
Who is eligible for support?
Any current student at Wrenford Polytechnic who has a disability, chronic health condition, or temporary injury that impacts their learning can register with Accessibility Services. You do not need a formal diagnosis from a doctor to start the process. You can register at any time during the academic year.
How do I register and what documentation do I need?
You can register by completing the registration form and submitting it to our office. We will review your information and contact you to book an intake meeting.
You will need to provide documentation from a qualified professional (such as a doctor, psychologist, or specialist) that describes your condition and how it affects your studies. If you do not have documentation yet, you can still meet with us to discuss your needs. We can help you figure out the next steps.
How are accommodations implemented in classes?
Once you meet with a staff member, we will create an accommodation plan tailored to your needs. You will receive a letter outlining your approved accommodations. You do not need to share your medical details with your instructors.
To put accommodations into practice, you will need to share your accommodation letter with each instructor. For exam accommodations, you must book your space through the Testing Centre at least five business days before your exam. You can find more details on the academic accommodations page.
Are there fees or deadlines I should know about?
There are no fees to register with Accessibility Services or to receive accommodations. The only cost associated with accessibility support is the standard tuition and ancillary fees charged to all students.
Deadlines are important for exams and service bookings. You must give the Testing Centre and your instructor at least forty-eight hours notice if you need to cancel an exam appointment. For new registrations, we recommend meeting with us during the first two weeks of the term so your accommodations are ready before midterms.
