Program Description

Learn 2D and 3D modelling with industry-standard CAD software. Covers drafting fundamentals and technical drawing.

About this course

MECH 1370 introduces you to the fundamentals of computer-aided design (CAD). You will learn how to create and edit both 2D and 3D models using industry-standard software. The course covers the core skills you need to produce professional engineering drawings and technical documentation.

You will practice building parametric models, generating multi-view projections, and applying proper dimensioning and tolerancing. By the end of the term, you will be able to produce a complete drawing package for a mechanical assembly.
