Introduces principles of spatial data collection, mapping, and analysis for environmental and construction applications.
About this course
This course introduces the principles of spatial data collection, mapping, and analysis with a focus on environmental and construction applications. You will learn how to gather accurate field data, process that information, and produce maps that support engineering and planning decisions. The curriculum covers both traditional surveying techniques and modern geographic information system (GIS) software.
You will complete hands-on exercises in data validation and spatial analysis. The course prepares you to work with geospatial data in professional environments where accuracy and clear visualisation are essential.
