About this code
This page explains the rules for living in Wrenford Polytechnic residence. It covers Larch House and Ashgrove House. Everyone who lives here, plus their guests, must follow these standards. The goal is to keep your home safe, clean, and respectful for everyone.
Living together
You and your roommates share a space. Keep it tidy and take turns with cleaning chores. Store your belongings in your room only. Do not bring extra furniture or appliances that are not approved. Keep common areas clear so people can walk through safely.
Quiet hours and guests
Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. every day. Keep music, video games, and conversations low during this time. You may host guests, but you must register them with the Residence Life office before they stay overnight. You are responsible for what your guests do. If a guest breaks the rules, you will face the same consequences.
Substance use and safety
You must be of legal age to use tobacco, cannabis, or alcohol. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside your room or in any common area. Please use the designated outdoor smoking areas only. For safety, do not use candles, space heaters, or open flames in your room. Keep fire exits clear at all times.
Breaking the rules
We expect you to follow this code from move-in day until you leave. If you break a rule, a staff member will meet with you to discuss it. A first offence usually results in a written warning. Repeated violations or serious breaches can lead to a fine, loss of residence privileges, or dismissal from campus housing. You can appeal a decision in writing within ten business days.
Tell us about an issue
If you have a concern about noise, cleanliness, or a roommate, try to talk it out first. If that does not work, or if you feel unsafe, contact the Residence Life office right away. We are here to help you resolve the problem fairly.
Next steps
You must sign this code and return it before you move in. Visit the move-in page for the full schedule and check-in times. If you need help with the housing application, see the residence application page.
