Why live on campus
Living on the Benchlands Campus puts you steps away from your classes, the Kestrel Centre, and the Student Union Building. Wrenford Polytechnic offers two residence buildings: Larch House, with 420 traditional rooms, and Ashgrove House, with 310 four-bedroom suites.
Who can apply
You must be accepted into a full-time program and enrolled in at least nine credits before moving in. The residence application opens on February 1, 2027, for the upcoming academic year. We encourage you to apply as early as possible, as rooms fill quickly and a waitlist is active for both buildings.
How to apply
Follow these steps to secure a room:
- Accept your program offer. You will receive your myWrenford login details through the provincial college application service once you are accepted.
- Log in to the Residence portal. Use your myWrenford credentials to access the portal. If you have not received your login information, contact the IT Service Desk at 519-555-0177.
- Complete the housing application. Select your preferred building and room type. You can also submit a roommate request directly in the portal.
- Pay your fees. Once you receive a room offer, pay your residence and meal plan fees through the portal to confirm your booking.
Residence fees
All fees are billed per academic year. Ancillary fees of $1,125 are charged separately.
| Accommodation type | Annual fee | Meal plan |
|---|---|---|
| Traditional room (Larch House) | $7,950 | $4,600 (mandatory) |
| Four-bedroom suite (Ashgrove House) | $9,100 | $4,600 (optional) |
Roommate matching
You can request to room with a friend by using the [[Roommate matching request | Roommate matching request]] link in the Residence portal. Both students must submit a mutual request for the match to be processed. If you do not have a roommate in mind, you can opt into the random matching system.
Waitlists and off-campus housing
If Larch House or Ashgrove House is full when you apply, you will be placed on a waitlist. The residence team reviews waitlists throughout the summer. If your name reaches the bottom of the list by mid-July, consider exploring off-campus housing options in the City of Wrenford.
Next steps
After paying your fees, you will receive an acceptance letter with your room assignment. Move-in dates are published in the [[Move-in and move-out dates | Move-in and move-out dates]] guide. You can also find more details about daily life, rules, and support staff on the [[Living in residence | Living in residence]] page.
