Important dates and deadlines

This page lists the key dates for the 2026–27 academic year. Use it to plan your classes, pay fees, and meet application deadlines. For a full list of holidays, reading weeks, and exam schedules, see the academic calendar.

Term dates and exams

Classes run over two main terms each year, plus a spring and summer option. Check your program page to see which terms apply to you.

Term Classes Exams
Fall 2026 September 8 – December 11, 2026 December 14 – 18, 2026
Winter 2027 January 11 – April 16, 2027 April 19 – 23, 2027
Spring/Summer 2027 May 10 – August 13, 2027 No exams

Reading weeks fall in mid-October and late February. Use these days to catch up on assignments or take a break. Final exams are scheduled at the end of each term. If you have a conflict, you can request an exam deferral through the Registrar.

Key deadlines

Mark these dates in your calendar so you do not miss a payment or a drop deadline. All dates apply to the 2026–27 academic year.

  • Fall tuition due: August 3, 2026
  • Winter tuition due: December 7, 2026
  • Last day to drop a Fall course without academic penalty: November 6, 2026
  • Equal consideration application date (Fall): March 1, 2027
  • Convocation: June 11 – 12, 2027 at the Kestrel Centre

You can pay fees and manage your registration through myWrenford. If you need more time or have a question about a deadline, contact the Registrar.

Planning your schedule

Keep track of your personal deadlines in the student portal. You can set reminders for payment dates, course drop deadlines, and exam schedules. The portal updates automatically when the Registrar posts a new rule. Students who pay their fees on time can access course materials and library resources without delay.

If you need to drop a course after the penalty-free date, you will still be able to do so, but a financial penalty may apply. Check the drop or withdraw from a course page for steps. Late drops appear on your academic record, so plan ahead.

For international students, application deadlines are different. See the International Students page for your term deadlines and visa processing times. Domestic students apply through the provincial college application service.
