What document verification is
Document verification is the final step in your admissions process. It confirms that the academic records and supporting papers you submitted are valid and meet the college's admission standards. Without verified documents, the college cannot enrol you in classes or issue an official Letter of Acceptance. This applies to all new students, whether you are a domestic applicant, an international applicant, or a returning student entering a new program.
Who needs to verify documents
You must complete document verification if you are:
- Applying through the provincial college application service as a domestic student.
- Applying directly through the college's international application form.
- Registering for a part-time or Continuing Education course.
- Returning to the college after a break of one year or more.
How to submit your documents
Follow these steps to get your documents verified.
- Check your admission requirements. Review the admission requirements for your program. Engineering-technology programs require Grade 12 math (C or U) with a minimum grade of 60%. All programs require Grade 12 English (C or U), minimum 60%. International applicants must provide an English proficiency test result or equivalent.
- Gather your official records. You need official transcripts from every high school or post-secondary institution you have attended. If you are a mature student (19 or older by the start of classes), provide proof of identity and any relevant work or training certificates.
- Submit through myWrenford. Log in to the myWrenford portal. Upload scanned copies of your unofficial transcripts to start the review process. Once you receive an admission offer, upload your official documents or arrange for them to be sent directly from the issuing institution.
- Verify international documents. If you are applying from outside Canada, you must upload your English proficiency test results. The college will assess your prior learning to determine course equivalencies.
- Wait for confirmation. The Office of the Registrar reviews all submissions. You will receive a notification in myWrenford and by email once your documents are verified.
Deadlines and fees
Submit your official documents before the start of your term. Domestic students applying through the provincial college application service should submit documents by the equal consideration date of March 1, 2027, for fall intake. International students must submit documents at least two weeks before the term start date to allow time for visa processing. There is no fee for document verification. The college only charges the standard application fee, which is non-refundable.
