Admission requirements

Who can apply

You can apply to Wrenford Polytechnic as a domestic student, an international student, or a mature student. Domestic applicants are residents of Canada or permanent residents. International applicants hold a study permit or are applying for one. Mature students are 19 years of age or older by the first day of classes.

Academic requirements

All applicants must meet the following baseline requirements:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or an equivalent secondary school certificate from another province or country.
  • Grade 12 English (C or U), with a minimum grade of 60%.
  • Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U), with a minimum grade of 60%. This is required for all engineering-technology programs.

Some programs have additional requirements. Check the Admissions tab on the specific program page for details. If you do not have an OSSD, you may qualify through prior learning assessment or by completing a pre-college certificate program.

How to apply

The steps to apply depend on your student status and the delivery mode of your chosen program.

Domestic full-time applicants

Apply through the provincial college application service. Create an account, enter your personal information, and upload your transcripts. You do not need to pay an application fee.

International applicants

Complete the international student application form on our website. You must submit official transcripts and proof of English language proficiency, such as an IELTS or TOEFL score, or an equivalent high school English grade. International applicants must also meet the specific visa and funding requirements for Canadian study.

Part-time and Continuing Education applicants

Register directly through the Continuing Education office. You do not need to use the provincial application service. Contact us to discuss course availability and registration dates.

Deadlines and fees

Applications for the fall term are accepted year-round, but we strongly recommend applying early. The equal consideration date for fall 2027 entry is March 1, 2027. After this date, programs with limited space may be full.

There is no application fee to submit your application to Wrenford Polytechnic. Tuition fees are due before the start of each term. Visit the Tuition & Fees page for the current fee schedule.
