Program Description
Initial phase of a comprehensive design project addressing a real-world manufacturing problem.
About this course
MFGT 4140 is the first half of the two-part capstone sequence for the Bachelor of Applied Technology — Advanced Manufacturing. You will work on a comprehensive design project that addresses a real-world manufacturing problem, often in partnership with an industry sponsor.
In this course, you focus on the initial phase: identifying the problem, reviewing relevant literature and industry standards, and developing a solid project plan. You will also create the technical specifications and feasibility analysis that will guide the work in the second term.
