What fee waivers cover
A fee waiver reduces or removes costs for students who face financial hardship or meet specific exemption criteria. At Wrenford Polytechnic, we want every student to focus on their studies without letting money get in the way. Fee waivers can cover application fees, program tuition, or ancillary fees like student association and health services charges.
Who can apply
- Domestic students facing financial hardship: You may qualify if your household income has dropped, you are experiencing an unexpected emergency, or you are receiving provincial social assistance.
- Students in specific government-funded programs: If your program is covered by a provincial training agreement or a workforce development partnership, your fees may be waived automatically.
- Students with recent migration or refugee status: New arrivals and those awaiting permanent residency status can apply for a temporary waiver while their status is processed.
How to apply
- Check your eligibility: Review the list above and confirm you meet one of the criteria.
- Download the application form: Visit the Student Financial Aid page to find the Fee Waiver Request form.
- Gather supporting documents: You will need to upload proof of your situation, such as a recent Notice of Assessment, a letter from a social worker, or a copy of your acceptance letter.
