What is a payment plan?
A payment plan lets you split your tuition and ancillary fees into monthly instalments across terms. Instead of paying the full term balance at once, you can spread the cost over several months. This option is designed for domestic students who need extra time to arrange their finances.
Who can use a payment plan?
Payment plans are available for domestic students only. International students must pay their full term balance before the payment deadline. If you are an international student facing a financial hardship, contact the Student Financial Aid office to discuss your options.
How payment plans work
Once you set up a payment plan, your term balance is divided into up to four monthly payments. You must complete the setup before the term tuition due date. If you wait until after the deadline, you will be charged a $50 per term late payment penalty. Payment plans must be renewed for each term you attend.
When to pay
Your monthly instalment dates depend on the term you are in:
- Fall term (September to December): Initial payment at setup, then monthly payments through November.
- Winter term (January to April): Initial payment at setup, then monthly payments through March.
- Spring/Summer term (May to August): Initial payment at setup, then a final payment in July.
The exact due dates are set when you create your plan. You must pay the final instalment before the term ends to avoid holds on your account.

Important rules
Payment plans cover tuition and ancillary fees only. They do not cover residence fees, book costs, or personal expenses. If you receive a scholarship, bursary, or government student loan that does not arrive in time, you may be able to apply for a tuition fee deferral. Visit the Student Financial Aid page for more information.
If you withdraw from your program or stop attending classes, any remaining balance on your payment plan becomes due immediately. You are responsible for all outstanding fees. For details on refunds and withdrawing, see the Refund and withdrawal policy page.
