International student funding options

About this funding page

Wrenford Polytechnic offers scholarships, bursaries, and work rights available specifically for international students. This page explains what is available, who can apply, and how to manage your tuition payments while you study.

Scholarships and bursaries

International students can apply for a number of scholarships and bursaries each year. These awards do not need to be paid back. You can find a full list of available awards on the Scholarships & Bursaries page. Most awards are reviewed automatically when you submit your application, but some require a separate form. You will need to submit your completed application materials through the polytechnic's own application portal. You can upload any required scholarship forms there as well.

Work rights

As an international student, you may be eligible to work on or off campus while you study. You must hold a valid study permit that allows you to work. You can work up to twenty hours per week during academic terms and full-time during scheduled breaks. You must keep your enrolment status full-time to maintain your work eligibility. If you want to work through a co-op work term, your program must include a co-op placement. Co-op programs include three paid work terms. BAPP degrees include one 14-week placement. Visit the Co-op & Career Services page for more details on on-campus jobs and off-campus work permits.

Tuition payment requirements

International students must pay tuition in full each term. You cannot use the standard payment plan available to domestic students. You must pay the full amount for your chosen program before classes begin each term. Fall 2026 tuition is due on August 3, 2026. Winter 2027 tuition is due on December 7, 2026. If your payment is not posted to your account by the due date, you will be charged a $75 late fee. You can view your exact tuition amount based on your credential level on the Tuition & Fees page. Domestic tuition ranges from $3,480 to $6,940 per year, but international tuition is $17,600 to $21,400 per year. You must pay the full international amount each term.

Who can apply

This information applies to all students studying at Wrenford Polytechnic on a study permit. You must be enrolled in a full-time program to access most scholarships, bursaries, and on-campus employment. Part-time students should contact the International Office directly to ask about their specific situation.
