Living in a traditional room
Traditional rooms in Larch House are designed for single occupancy. You will have your own bedroom, and you will share a washroom and lounge area with other students on your floor. A meal plan is mandatory for all residents in Larch House. The plan costs $4,600 per year and gives you access to the dining hall in the Student Union Building. You can see full pricing details on Residence fees.
Living in a suite-style room
Ashgrove House offers four-bedroom suites. Each suite has four private bedrooms, two bathrooms, a shared living room, and a kitchenette. This setup works well if you want more space and privacy. Suite residents are not required to take a meal plan. You can cook your own meals or visit the dining hall on your own.
Kitchens and cooking
If you live in Ashgrove House, you will have a small kitchen in your suite. You are responsible for keeping your kitchen clean and safe. Do not leave food out overnight, as it can attract pests. If you live in Larch House, you will not have a kitchen in your room. Use the shared kitchenettes located on each floor to heat up food or make simple snacks. All residents must follow the Residence code of conduct regarding food storage and cleaning.
Laundry and study hours
Laundry rooms are located on every floor in both Larch House and Ashgrove House. You can use them from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Bring your own detergent, or buy a small bottle at the Campus Store. If you need help with a machine, submit a maintenance request in myWrenford.
Quiet study hours are enforced in all residence buildings. You must keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. on weekdays, and between 11:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. on weekends. If you need a quiet place to work outside your room, visit the Falls Library & Learning Commons or book a study room in the Student Union Building.
