Request an official transcript

About official transcripts

An official transcript is a certified copy of your academic record. It lists every course you took, the grades you earned, and the credentials you completed. Employers, other schools, and licensing bodies often ask for one. This page covers how to order and send official academic records to employers or institutions.

How to order a transcript

You can order a transcript through the myWrenford student portal or in person at the Registrar office. When you submit your request, you will choose how you want it delivered. You can have it picked up on campus, mailed to an address, or sent securely to another institution.

Fees and processing time

A standard official transcript costs $15 per copy. If you need it quickly, you can pay a $25 rush processing fee for same-day service. Standard orders are usually ready in five to seven business days. We recommend submitting your request at least two weeks before you need it.

If you need additional copies after your first free one, each extra copy costs $10 per copy.

Pickup and delivery

If you choose on-campus pickup, your transcript will be held for three months. After that, it is securely destroyed. You will need to order a new one if you do not pick it up in time.

You do not have to pick it up yourself. Another person can collect it for you. They must bring a signed authorisation form and a photo ID.

We do not send transcripts by email or regular fax, as those copies are not considered official. We can send secure electronic transcripts directly to certain Canadian institutions. For all other domestic and international schools, we mail them in paper format.

Requesting a transfer credit

If you completed courses at another post-secondary school and want them counted toward your program, you must apply for a transfer credit. You will need to submit your official transcript from the other school along with the Transfer Credit Request form.

The deadline for winter term requests is December 15. The deadline for spring and summer term requests is April 15. Processing a transfer credit request takes two to four weeks, or up to three months if detailed course outlines are required. Please note that transfer credits do not affect your Wrenford Polytechnic grade point average. They are recorded separately on your student record.

If you have learning or work experience that matches your program requirements, you may also apply through the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process. This gives you credit for knowledge gained outside the classroom.
