Library and study spaces
The Falls Library & Learning Commons in the Kingfisher Building on the Benchlands Campus is open during term time. You can study quietly between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday, until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. every day. You must keep noise down during these hours so others can rest or work.
You can book study rooms in the library using the online booking portal. You can book up to four hours per day per group. Requests must be submitted at least 48 hours before the desired time. Bookings must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid counting toward the monthly limit.
Labs and computer rooms
Computer labs and software suites are located in the Kingfisher Building and the Tamarack Building. There is no fee to book a lab station or software suite. Students must bring their own laptop; the IT Service Desk does not leave equipment unattended. You must use your student card to log in to lab computers.
For technical help, visit the IT Service Desk in the Kingfisher Building, Room 114, or call 519-555-0177. You can also email [email protected].
Gyms and recreation spaces
The Kestrel Centre on the Benchlands Campus houses the gymnasium, fitness centre, and athletics office. You can book gymnasiums and fitness rooms for intramural games, club practices, or student association events. Booking rules are the same as for study rooms: four hours per day per group, with 48 hours notice required and 24 hours notice to cancel.
The Wrenford Kestrels varsity teams use the Kestrel Centre for home games and practices. Students who want to join a team must complete the Wrenford Kestrels eligibility form and attend tryouts.
Conduct and safety
You are responsible for leaving any room you use in the same condition you found it. Clean up after yourself and return furniture to its original layout. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside rooms or common areas. Guests must be registered before staying overnight in residence, and the same care applies to any shared space.
If you damage college property, you must submit a replacement request within ten business days of the loss or damage. The replacement cost is $175 per item.
