Policy review cycle

About this page

The Policy review cycle is the schedule and process for updating college policies to ensure they remain current and effective. Wrenford Polytechnic reviews its policies on a set schedule so that rules, procedures, and expectations match your needs and the latest regulations. This page explains how you can take part in the review process, who it covers, and what you need to know.

Why policies are reviewed

College policies cover everything from academic standards and student conduct to campus safety and digital privacy. Laws change, technology improves, and student needs shift. The review cycle makes sure that our rules stay fair, clear, and useful for everyone. When a policy is updated, the college posts the changes publicly so you can see exactly what is different.

Who this is for

Policy reviews affect every part of campus life. The process is designed for:

  • Current and prospective students
  • Faculty and staff
  • Partners and employers who work with the college

How the review cycle works

Each policy has a set review date, usually every three years. When a policy reaches its review date, the office that owns the policy opens a consultation period. You can take part in the following steps:

  1. Read the current policy. Find the policy on the Policies page. The page shows the effective date and the next review date.
  2. Check for draft versions. Before a policy changes, a draft version is published on the same page. This gives you time to read the proposed changes.
  3. Submit your feedback. Use the online feedback form linked on the policy page, or send an email to the responsible office. You can also attend a scheduled consultation meeting or forum.
  4. Review the final update. Once feedback is collected, the policy owner makes the final changes and publishes the updated policy. You will see the new version and the revised effective date on the page.

Deadlines and fees

There is no fee to submit feedback or attend a consultation meeting. Every policy page lists a specific deadline for comments, usually four weeks after the draft is published. If you miss the deadline, your feedback may still be reviewed, but it will not be guaranteed a response before the final version is published.

Who to contact

If you need help finding a policy or want to know when the next review period starts, contact the Registrar's office. They manage the college-wide policy schedule and can direct your questions to the right office.
