Check out materials
You can borrow books, e-books, and media from Falls Library & Learning Commons on the Benchlands Campus. To check out any items, you need a valid Wrenford Polytechnic student ID card. Bring your card to the Service Desk or use the self-check machines in the Library.
Borrowing limits
You can borrow up to 10 items at one time. The loan period depends on the type of material:
- Books and media: 21 days
- Course reserves: 3 hours (must be returned to the Library)
- Laptops and tablets: 7 days
Renewing your items
You can renew most items online through myWrenford. Log in with your student credentials and select the items you want to keep. You may renew an item once if no other student has placed a hold on it. You cannot renew course reserve items or items that are overdue.
If you need an item for longer, visit the Service Desk in person. Staff can help you extend the loan period if the material is available.
Fines and overdue items
Items must be returned by the due date. Late returns incur a fine of $1.00 per day, per item. Fines are added to your student account and must be paid before you can borrow again or receive a diploma. Visit the Library fines and fees page for full details.
Interlibrary loans and external requests
If Falls Library does not have the book or article you need, you can request it from another college or university through an interlibrary loan. Fill out a request form at the Service Desk or submit it online. Processing can take up to five business days.
For media or equipment from other campuses, ask a staff member at the Service Desk to transfer the item. You will pick it up at your home campus.
