Support for adjusting to life in Wrenford
Moving to a new country and starting college is a big step. Life in Wrenford has its own pace, weather, and customs. You are not alone in making the transition. The college provides support services, workshops, and peer mentoring to help you adapt to life in Wrenford.
Peer mentoring program
Our peer mentoring program connects you with current students who have gone through the same move. You will meet a mentor during International student orientation. They can share tips on navigating the city, finding groceries, and understanding Canadian classroom culture. Mentors are available to answer questions over email or in person.
Workshops and events
The International Students office runs regular workshops on topics that matter to you. These include Canadian workplace etiquette, understanding academic expectations, and managing homesickness. Counselling and mental health
Adjusting to a new culture can be stressful. The Counselling & Wellness team offers confidential one-on-one sessions. They can help you manage stress, anxiety, or homesickness. All sessions are free for enrolled students. You can book an appointment by calling 519-555-0184 or visiting the office in Hollis Hall.
Accessibility and academic support
If cultural adjustment affects your health or your ability to study, the Accessibility Services office can help. Getting involved on campus
Meeting people is one of the best ways to feel at home. Join a student club or try out for the Wrenford Kestrels through the Athletics & Recreation office.
