Apply as an international student

Apply as an international student

Welcome. If you are studying outside Canada and want to join Wrenford Polytechnic, this page covers everything you need to know about applying, paying tuition, and getting ready for campus.

How to apply

Unlike domestic applicants, you do not use the provincial college application service. Instead, you fill out the polytechnic's own international application form. You will need to upload copies of your high school or college transcripts, proof of English language proficiency, and your passport information. Once you submit the form, our international office reviews your file and sends an offer of admission if you meet the requirements.

You can track your application status and upload additional documents in myWrenford, our student portal.

Tuition and fees

Tuition for international students is higher than for domestic students because it does not include provincial government funding. Your yearly cost depends on your program level.

Credential type Tuition per year
Ontario College Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma $17,600
Ontario College Graduate Certificate $18,900
Bachelor of Applied Technology or Bachelor of Applied Business $21,400

You also pay ancillary fees of $1,125 per year. These cover the gym, transit pass, and student association. There is no application fee to submit your application.

Important dates

We review applications on a rolling basis, but we set an equal consideration date of March 1, 2027 for fall intake. Applying by this date gives you the best chance of getting your study permit in time.

Tuition must be paid before classes begin. Fall tuition is due August 3, 2026. Winter tuition is due December 7, 2026.

Getting ready for campus

Study permit: After you accept your offer, we send you a formal letter of acceptance. You use this letter to apply for a study permit through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. You must bring this permit with you when you travel to Canada.

Health insurance: All international students must carry health and travel insurance. You can purchase a plan through the college or bring proof of an approved private plan.

Housing: If you want to live on campus, apply for residence through the Residence portal. Applications open on February 1, 2027. A traditional room in Larch House costs $7,950 per year. A four-bedroom suite in Ashgrove House costs $9,100. The meal plan costs $4,600 per year and is required for Larch House residents.

Orientation: We host an international student orientation every semester. You will meet staff, get your student ID, and learn about campus services.
