Meal plan tiers
Wrenford Polytechnic offers two meal plan options through Food Services. You can choose the plan that fits your schedule and where you live. Both plans give you access to the food hall in the Student Union Building on the Benchlands Campus.
Full meal plan
The full meal plan is required for all students living in Larch House. It covers most weekday meals and includes unlimited access to the food hall. You also get a set number of guest passes and dining dollars you can use at retail counters. This plan is designed for students who want simple, predictable meal costs for the whole year.
Partial meal plan
The partial meal plan is optional for students living in Ashgrove House or those who live off campus. It includes a limited number of weekday meals and a smaller balance of dining dollars. You can top up your balance at any time through your student portal. This plan works well if you often cook at home or prefer to buy your own groceries.
Costs and mandatory rules
The full meal plan costs $4,600 per year. If you are assigned a traditional room in Larch House, you must enrol in this plan. The cost is added to your tuition and fees bill each term. You cannot drop the plan once the academic year starts, except in approved medical or hardship cases.
The partial meal plan costs $2,400 per year. You can choose this plan when you apply for residence, or you can switch from the partial plan to the full plan during the first two weeks of classes. You cannot switch from the full plan to the partial plan after the term begins.
How to enrol
Follow these steps to get your meal plan set up:
- Apply for residence through the Residence portal once applications open on February 1, 2027.
- Choose your housing type (Larch House or Ashgrove House) when you submit your application.
- Select your meal plan tier in the housing application form. The full plan is automatically selected for Larch House.
- Pay your residence and meal plan balance by the tuition due date. Your food hall account will activate once your payment clears.
Using your plan
Your student ID card works as your meal card. Tap it at the food hall entry points and at the checkout counters. You can check your meal swipes and dining dollar balance on your student portal. If your balance runs low, you can add funds online or at the Student Union Building cash desk.
