Course cancellation policy
This page explains what happens when a Continuing Education course is cancelled by the college or by you. It covers your refund options, the deadlines you must meet, and how to submit a refund request.
When the college cancels a course
Wrenford Polytechnic may cancel a Continuing Education course if there are not enough students enrolled. We will cancel the course no later than two business days before the scheduled start date. If your course is cancelled, you will receive an email explaining your options. You can choose to register for a different section of the same course, pick a different course, or request a full refund of your fees. Transfers between courses are free. If you choose a refund, the $25 administration fee will be deducted from the total amount.
When you cancel a course
If you decide you cannot attend a Continuing Education course, you must submit a refund request using the myWrenford online refund request form. You must follow these deadlines to receive a refund:
- 30 days before the course start date: You will receive a 100% refund, minus the $25 administration fee.
- 14 days before the course start date: You will receive a 50% refund, minus the $25 administration fee.
- Less than 14 days before the course start date: No refund is available.
These deadlines apply to all Continuing Education courses. If you need to drop a course for personal reasons, please act quickly so you can recover as much of your fees as possible.
How to request a refund
All refund requests must be submitted through the myWrenford online refund request form. Please have your student ID and course details ready when you log in. Once you submit the form, the Continuing Education office will review it and process the refund. Please allow four to six business days for the refund to appear on your statement or in your bank account. Refunds are issued by cheque or direct deposit, depending on your account settings.
