Who this is for
If you are applying to Wrenford Polytechnic and cannot pay the standard application fee, you may be eligible for a fee waiver. This service is designed for domestic applicants who face financial hardship. It covers the application fee for full-time programs submitted through the provincial college application service, as well as direct applications for part-time and Continuing Education courses. International applicants must pay the application fee as part of the standard process, but can request a waiver if they hold specific provincial funding or scholarship grants.
What you need to know
A fee waiver covers only the application fee. It does not cover program tuition, materials, residence fees, or health services. You must still meet all program admission requirements, including prerequisites and English language proficiency if applicable. Waivers are non-transferable and can only be used once per applicant. If you are admitted and choose not to attend, the waiver remains on your record but cannot be reused for a future application.
How to apply
You do not need a special code to submit your application. Follow these steps to request your waiver:
- Complete the Application Fee Waiver Request form online. You will need to provide your full name, contact email, and a brief explanation of your financial situation.
- Submit any required supporting documents, such as a recent notice of assessment from Ontario student financial assistance, a social assistance statement, or a letter from a community organization.
- Wait for confirmation from the Admissions team. You will receive an email within five business days with a unique waiver code or a direct link to upload your application without payment.
- Use the waiver code when you submit your application through the provincial college application service, or follow the direct link for part-time programs.
Keep a copy of your confirmation email. If the waiver code does not work during submission, contact the Admissions office with your reference number before you finish the application.
Deadlines and limits
You can request a fee waiver at any time before you submit your application. We recommend applying at least two weeks before the equal consideration date for fall intake, which is March 1, 2027. Only one waiver is granted per applicant per academic year. If your circumstances change and you need to apply to a second program, contact Admissions to discuss your options.
