Report an accessibility barrier
If you notice a physical, digital, or programmatic barrier on campus, you can report it directly to Accessibility Services. This service is for students, staff, and visitors who want to help Wrenford Polytechnic improve accessibility across both the Benchlands and Mercer Street campuses. Reporting a barrier is one of the easiest ways to contribute to a more inclusive learning environment for everyone.
How to submit your report
You can report a barrier by completing the Accessibility Barrier Report form. The form is available on the Accessibility Services page or in person at the office. When you fill out the form, please include the following details so we can address the issue quickly:
- The type of barrier (for example, a broken automatic door, an inaccessible website page, or a course material that lacks alternative formats)
- The exact location or digital link where the barrier occurs
- A brief description of how the barrier affects your ability to use campus services or complete coursework
- Your contact information (optional, but helpful if we need to follow up)
You can submit the form online through the student portal, or drop off a printed copy at the Accessibility Services office. If you need help filling out the form, call us or visit during business hours.
What happens after you submit a report
Accessibility Services reviews every report within five business days. We will categorise the barrier as either an immediate fix, a short-term accommodation, or a long-term infrastructure project. If your report involves a digital or programmatic issue, we will work with the relevant department or faculty member to adjust the course material or website. For physical barriers, we will coordinate with Facilities Management and share the timeline for repairs or modifications.
Fees and deadlines
There is no fee to report an accessibility barrier. You can submit a report at any time during the academic year. Accessibility Services processes reports on a rolling basis, but we aim to acknowledge every submission within two business days. If your report involves an urgent safety concern, please call Campus Security at 519-555-0176 or dial 911 for emergencies.
