About this course
This course explores environmentally responsible materials, energy efficiency, and sustainable methods in building and construction. You will learn how the construction industry is adapting to climate challenges and regulatory requirements by reducing waste and conserving resources.
We examine the full lifecycle of building materials, from sourcing to disposal. You will compare traditional materials with low-impact alternatives, such as reclaimed timber, recycled steel, and high-performance insulation. The course also covers passive design principles, renewable energy integration, and water conservation systems in new builds and renovations.
