About this course
Welding involves significant risks, from intense heat and flying sparks to hazardous fumes and electrical shock. This course teaches you how to work safely in the shop environment. You will learn to identify hazards before they cause harm and use personal protective equipment correctly every time you work.
Students practice these skills in the Tamarack Building workshops under direct supervision. You will inspect equipment, set up ventilation, and handle compressed gases according to industry standards. The course prepares you for the safe work habits required in all skilled trades roles.
