Program Description
Analysis of generation, transmission, and distribution networks, including transformers and protective devices.
Course details
This course examines the principles of power distribution systems used in industrial and commercial settings. You will study the analysis of generation, transmission, and distribution networks, with a focus on transformers and protective devices. The curriculum covers single-phase and three-phase systems, load flow analysis, and fault calculations.
You will learn to design basic distribution circuits and select components that meet provincial safety and electrical codes. Laboratory sessions provide hands-on experience with transformers, circuit breakers, and protection relays.
