Program Description
Principles of CT imaging, artifact reduction, and patient positioning for cross-sectional studies.
Course overview
Computed Tomography I introduces the core principles of cross-sectional imaging. You will learn how CT systems generate images, how to position patients safely and accurately, and how to reduce common artifacts that affect diagnostic quality. The course covers radiation safety, scanner operation basics, and image evaluation techniques essential for medical radiation technologists.
Who takes this course
This course is a required component of the Medical Radiation Technology program.
Credits: 3 · Hours: 45
