Hands-on training in ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, and exploitation techniques for security auditing.
About this course
COMP 5250 Penetration Testing Methods gives you the practical skills needed to think like an attacker in order to protect an organization. You will learn how to find, test, and report on security weaknesses in networks and applications. The course focuses on ethical hacking, meaning you practice these techniques in controlled environments with permission.
You will use professional tools to scan for vulnerabilities, attempt controlled exploitation, and then write detailed reports that help IT teams fix the problems. This is a hands-on course, so you will spend most of your time in the lab working on real-world simulation scenarios.
