About this course
This course covers the overhaul and testing of automatic and manual transmissions for various vehicles. You will learn how to take a transmission apart, find worn parts, and put it back together so it works like new. You will also learn how to test the transmission on the road or on a lift to make sure it shifts smoothly.
You will use special tools to measure parts and check for damage. You will also learn how to write down what you did and what you found, so the next mechanic knows exactly what happened to the vehicle.
