Who can use this service
Every student at Wrenford Polytechnic can request dietary accommodations. This service covers students with food allergies, medical conditions, religious dietary requirements, or other health-related needs. The food services team works with you to adjust meal plans and daily menu options in the food hall.
How to make a request
Follow these steps to submit your request:
- Complete the form. Submit a form for allergies or medical dietary needs to the food services team. You can find the Dietary Accommodation Request Form on the Food Services page or through the myWrenford student portal.
- Provide details. List your specific needs, any medications you take, and the symptoms you experience if you eat certain foods. If you have a letter from a doctor or dietitian, attach it to the form.
- Submit early. Send your request at least two weeks before your term starts. This gives the food services team enough time to prepare safe meals for you.
What happens after you submit
Once we receive your form, a food services coordinator will review your needs. They may contact you for a short meeting to discuss your options. If your medical needs are complex, we will connect you with the Health Centre for a professional assessment. All information you share stays private.
Approved accommodations are added to your meal plan. You will see the changes reflected in the daily menu options at the food hall. If your needs change during the term, you can update your request at any time.
Fees and deadlines
There is no extra fee to submit a dietary accommodation request. Your regular meal plan covers the cost of adjusted meals. If you do not have a meal plan, you can still request accommodations for special catering events or lab meals. The deadline to submit a request for the Fall term is August 15. The deadline for the Winter term is December 1. Requests submitted after these dates will be processed as soon as possible, but changes may take longer to arrange.
