Parking bylaws and enforcement

Scope and campus rules

Parking at Wrenford Polytechnic is governed by clear rules to keep everyone safe and ensure spaces are available for students, staff, and visitors. These bylaws cover both the Benchlands Campus and the Mercer Street Campus. You must park in designated zones and follow all posted signs. Vehicles without a valid permit must use visitor spots. Reserved spaces are strictly for those with the correct credentials. Accessible stalls are reserved for vehicles displaying the proper provincial identification and a valid college permit. You must display a valid permit or use the pay-by-plate system for visitor spots. Campus Security monitors parking areas during the academic day to ensure compliance.

How violations are enforced and fined

If you park without a valid permit or in a restricted area, Campus Security will issue a violation. You can review or pay your ticket through the parking violation portal. Unpaid fines carry a late payment penalty of $50 per term. Repeated violations may result in towing or a ban from campus parking. Enforcement ensures fairness and keeps driveways and emergency routes clear at all times. If your vehicle is towed, you will need to contact the towing provider listed on your notice to arrange release and payment.

Where you can park

Most students need a term permit ($210 per term). Residence students use Lot C. Visitors pay by plate in Lot A at $3.50 per hour. Check the permits page for full details and the permit transfer form if you move or change vehicles. There is no student parking on the Mercer Street Campus. Visitors and staff should use the City of Wrenford municipal lots nearby.
