Report a vehicle parked in violation
If you see a car or truck parked where it should not be, you can report it to Wrenford Polytechnic Campus Security. This page explains the process for submitting a complaint about a vehicle parked in violation of campus parking regulations. Campus Security monitors all parking areas on both the Benchlands Campus and the Mercer Street Campus to keep roads clear and spaces available for everyone.
Who can make a report
Any student, staff member, faculty member, or visitor who witnesses a parking issue on campus can submit a report. You do not need to be the person who owns a parking permit to report a violation. If you see a vehicle blocking a fire lane, a driveway, a loading zone, or a space reserved for people with a disability permit, please report it right away.
How to report a violation
You can submit a report in person, by phone, or by email. Please have the vehicle's license plate number, the campus location, and a description of the violation ready before you contact us.
- Call Campus Security at 519-555-0176. For emergencies, always call 911 first.
- Visit the Campus Security office in Hollis Hall during business hours.
- Email the parking office at [email protected].
What happens after you report
Campus Security officers patrol the parking lots every day. When they review your report, they will check the vehicle's registration and permit status. If the vehicle is parked in violation of posted rules, the officer will issue a parking ticket to the registered owner.
If a vehicle is blocking a fire lane, a driveway, or a space reserved for people with a disability permit, the officer may arrange for the vehicle to be towed at the owner's expense. Towing happens immediately and without notice to the driver.
Fees and deadlines
Reporting a violation does not cost you anything. There is no fee to submit a complaint or to file a report with Campus Security. Campus Security processes reports as they come in. If a vehicle is parked illegally, it is usually ticketed or towed on the same day.
