Schedule a lab booking

Book a computer lab or software suite

Form to reserve computer lab stations or specialized software suites for group projects.

If you are working on a team assignment or a class project that needs more than one workstation or access to specialized software, you can reserve a booking for your group. This service lets you secure a spot in one of the computing labs on the Benchlands Campus or the Mercer Street Campus so your team can work together without scrambling for seats.

Who can use this service

Any currently enrolled student at Wrenford Polytechnic can book a lab station or software suite. The booking is intended for group work, study groups, or project development. Individual bookings are not required unless your instructor has specifically asked for a software suite that is not available in the open labs.

How to book your lab time

  1. Log in to your myWrenford student portal.
  2. Navigate to the Student Services section and select IT Service Desk.
  3. Click on the Lab Booking tab and choose Schedule a lab booking.
  4. Select your preferred date and time. You can book up to four hours per day per group.
  5. Choose the campus (Benchlands or Mercer Street) and the specific lab or software suite you need.
  6. Enter the names of all group members who will be using the stations.
  7. Submit the form. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking reference number.

Fees and deadlines

There is no fee to book a lab station or software suite. You must submit your request at least 48 hours before the time you want to use the equipment. This gives the IT Service Desk enough time to prepare the workstations and load the required software. If you need to change or cancel your booking, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. If you miss your booking without cancelling, it will count toward your monthly limit.

What to bring and what to expect

Bring your student identification card and a laptop with you to the lab. While the workstations have monitors, keyboards, and mice, you will need your own computer to access your files. The IT Service Desk will not leave equipment unattended, so you must pick up and return your laptop to the service desk window before the lab opens or after it closes. Remember that all workstations must be cleared and returned to their default settings before you leave the room.
