About the program
Registering to be paired with a Wrenford Polytechnic graduate for professional guidance and networking. The Alumni Mentorship Program connects current students and recent graduates with alumni who work in your field of study. You will be matched with a graduate to build a strong professional network while learning from people who have walked the same path. The program is free for all students and recent graduates.
Who can join
You can apply if you are:
- A current full-time student at Wrenford Polytechnic
- A recent graduate (within the last two years) looking to strengthen your career skills
- Enrolled in a certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate, or applied bachelor's degree program
Alumni with at least two years of work experience after graduation can volunteer as mentors. They can share industry insights, review resumes, and help you navigate your career path.
How to register
Registering takes about ten minutes. Follow these steps:
- Log in to your myWrenford student portal.
- Go to the Co-op & Career Services page and select "Alumni Mentorship Program".
- Fill out the interest form. Tell us your program of study, your career goals, and what kind of guidance you are looking for.
- Submit the form. Our staff will review your application and match you with a mentor within five business days.
- Check your Wrenford e-mail for an introduction from your mentor. You can then arrange a first meeting time.
What to expect
Once paired, you and your mentor will set goals for the relationship. Most pairs meet once a month for thirty to sixty minutes. You can meet in person at the Co-op & Career Services office in the Student Union Building, or you can video call through the college's secure portal. You will receive a simple agreement form that outlines your goals, meeting frequency, and contact information. Both you and your mentor can update the form at any time.
The program runs year-round. You can stay paired with the same mentor for up to one year. If you need a new mentor or want to switch programs, contact the program coordinator.
