What is a bursary?
A bursary is financial support you do not have to pay back. Wrenford Polytechnic offers bursaries to students with demonstrated financial need or specific criteria. These awards help cover tuition, books, and living costs while you study.
Who can apply
You can apply for a bursary if you are registered in at least one credit course for the current term. You must be a domestic student enrolled at Wrenford Polytechnic. International students may apply for specific bursaries listed on the Scholarships & Bursaries page.
How to apply
Follow these steps to submit your application:
- Log in to your student portal.
- Go to the Student Financial Aid section and open the bursary application form.
- Check that your Social Insurance Number is entered correctly. If it is missing, your award will not be released.
- Answer all budget questions. Enter zero for any amount that does not apply to you.
- Attach receipts for any exceptional expenses or daycare costs you listed.
- Use the notes box to explain any special circumstances affecting your finances.
- Read the declaration and select Yes to submit.
Important dates
Applications open in early September. The equal consideration date is March 1, 2027. Applications submitted after this date are reviewed only if funding remains. No late applications will be accepted.
What happens next
You will receive an email confirmation once your application is submitted. You can log in to your portal to check the status at any time. If you need to make changes, you can edit your application before the deadline. Remember to answer the declaration again each time you log in.
Awards are applied directly to your student account to cover tuition and fees. Any remaining balance is paid by cheque to the address on file.
