Eligibility requirements

Who can apply

You can apply for general college awards if you meet the eligibility requirements listed below. These rules apply to most scholarships, bursaries, and emergency funds offered by Wrenford Polytechnic. If a specific award has extra rules, the application page will list them.

Academic standing

You must maintain good academic standing to receive a general college award. This means you need to keep a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher. You also cannot be on academic probation or have any outstanding academic penalties. If you are on academic probation, you must improve your grades before you can apply or receive funds.

Residency status

Most general awards are open to domestic students who hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent. International students who hold a valid study permit are also eligible, unless an award is marked for domestic students only. You must show proof of your residency status when you apply.

Program enrollment

You must be actively enrolled in a full-time or part-time program at Wrenford Polytechnic. If you take a leave of absence, withdraw from your program, or graduate, you will no longer qualify for general awards. You must also be in good financial standing with the college, meaning you have no unpaid tuition or fees on your account.

How to apply

Once you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements, you can submit your application through the myWrenford portal. Make sure you upload all required documents, such as your student ID number and a copy of your current transcript. The application window opens on August 15, 2026, and closes on September 30, 2026. You will receive a confirmation email within five business days of submitting your application.
