What is a refund?
If you withdraw from a program or drop a course, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund of your tuition. Refunds follow the college's official fee schedule and the dates set by the provincial college application service. Non-refundable costs, such as application fees and commitment deposits, are not returned.
Who can request a refund?
Refund requests apply to all full-time and part-time students, including apprenticeship and continuing education learners. International students on study permits should review their immigration requirements before withdrawing, as a change in status can affect your permit. Contact the International Student Services office in Hollis Hall for guidance.
Refund deadlines
Deadlines depend on your program type and intake date. For most full-time programs starting in the fall term, the last day to withdraw and receive a full tuition refund is November 6, 2026. After this date, a cancellation fee applies, and refunds are reduced. Part-time and continuing education courses have shorter windows, usually ending within ten business days of the course start date. You can view the full academic calendar on the Current Students page.
How to submit a request
You must submit a formal refund request to process your payment. Follow these steps:
- Log in to the myWrenford portal and open the Student Financial Aid section.
- Select the Refund Request Form from the services menu.
- Enter your student number, program name, and the reason for your withdrawal.
- Attach any required documentation, such as a medical note or study permit refusal letter.
- Submit the form electronically.
We review every request to confirm it meets the deadline and the program's withdrawal rules. If you need help with the form, visit the Registrar's office in Hollis Hall or call the main line.
How refunds are paid
Once approved, the college issues your refund to the original payment method. If you paid by credit card, the refund returns to that card. If you paid by cheque, bank draft, or e-transfer, the college issues a new cheque or direct deposit. Processing takes up to fifteen business days after approval. Please keep your mailing address and bank details up to date in the myWrenford portal to avoid delays.
