Apply for a degree or diploma

Request your graduation and verify your completion

You can apply for graduation once you have completed or are close to completing all your program requirements. This process verifies your program completion and prepares your credentials for official conferral. Whether you are finishing a certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, graduate certificate, or applied bachelor's degree, follow the steps below to ensure your record is updated and your diploma is ready.

Who can apply

  • Current students in their final term who expect to meet all requirements by the end of the term.
  • Recent graduates who have completed all requirements but have not yet submitted an application.
  • Students who need their credentials officially recorded for employment, further study, or professional licensing.

Steps to apply

  1. Check your program completion status. Meet with your program coordinator or academic advisor to confirm you have finished all required courses and co-op work terms.
  2. Submit your application for graduation. Complete the application form and submit it to the Registrar's office. You must apply even if you do not plan to attend the convocation ceremony.
  3. Pay the graduation application fee. A fee is required to process your application and issue your official credentials.
  4. Confirm your convocation attendance. If you wish to attend the ceremony, select your attendance preference when you submit your application. The ceremony takes place at the Kestrel Centre on the Benchlands Campus.

Fees and deadlines

The graduation application fee is $25. Applications must be submitted by May 15, 2027, to be considered for the June 11–12, 2027 convocation. Applications submitted after the deadline will be processed for the next available convocation date. You can pay the fee when you submit your application through the Registrar's office or by mail.
