What is a program change?
If you have been admitted to Wrenford Polytechnic but want to study a different program, you can request a program change. This applies if you have not started classes yet, or if you want to switch programs during the current term before the add/drop deadline.
Who can apply?
You may apply if you:
- Meet the admission requirements for the new program.
- Are in good academic and financial standing.
- Have an open seat available in the program you want to join.
Students can only make one program change per academic year. Some programs require departmental approval and may take longer to process.
Steps to change your program
- Check the admission requirements. Make sure you meet the prerequisites for the new program. You can find these on the Programs pages.
- Fill out the Program Change Request form. Download the form or request it from the Registrar's Office.
- Submit your form. Bring the form to the Registrar's Office in person at Hollis Hall, or mail it to the address on the form.
- Wait for approval. Processing usually takes five to ten business days. You will receive a confirmation email.
- Book academic advising. You must meet with an academic advisor in your new program before you can register for classes or access your student portal.
Deadlines and fees
Submit your request before the add/drop deadline for your term. For the fall term, the last day to make changes without academic penalty is November 6, 2026. Requests submitted after this date may be delayed or denied.
A program change may affect your tuition and ancillary fees. Review the Tuition & Fees page to see how the switch changes your costs. If your new program has a different fee structure, you will be charged the difference or refunded the excess.
