A night of celebration
Wrenford Polytechnic celebrated the achievements of its 2026 graduates at the convocation ceremony held at the Kestrel Centre on the Benchlands Campus on June 11. President Dr. Evelyn Marsh-Tanaka addressed the students, their families, and the faculty and staff who supported them throughout their programs.
Dr. Marsh-Tanaka reminded the graduates that their education at the polytechnic is built on the institution's motto, "Made to work." She highlighted the practical skills and hands-on experience that define the Wrenford Polytechnic student journey.
"You have spent years mastering your trades, designing systems, caring for patients, and solving complex technical problems," Dr. Marsh-Tanaka said. "You are leaving here not just with a certificate or a degree, but with the confidence to step into your careers and make a real difference in your communities."
The ceremony honoured graduates from all six academic schools, including the School of Business & Media, the School of Computing & Academic Studies, the School of Construction & the Environment, the School of Energy & Applied Engineering, the School of Health Sciences, and the School of Skilled Trades & Transportation. Many students received distinctions for their academic excellence.
Among the honours recipients was Maya, a Practical Nursing student, who received the Dean's Excellence Award for her outstanding performance in the program.
After the formal speeches, graduates crossed the stage to receive their credentials from Dr. Marsh-Tanaka and senior college leadership. The event concluded with a reception in the Student Union Building, where families and friends joined the graduates for photos and refreshments.
The Registrar's office has announced that official diplomas will be mailed to graduates who are not attending the diploma distribution event later this year. Students with outstanding balances on their accounts will receive their diplomas after the balances are cleared.
