Computing department welcomes new instructor for network administration

New instructor joins the School of Computing

Arjun Mehta has joined the School of Computing & Academic Studies as an instructor in the Computing & Information Technology department. He begins teaching Network & Cloud Administration courses this term at the Benchlands Campus.

Mr. Mehta will work with students in the Network & Cloud Administration program, a two-year Ontario College Diploma that prepares graduates for careers in system administration, cloud infrastructure, and network security. The program is housed in the Kingfisher Building, where the department's computing labs recently received new workstations.

"We are delighted to welcome Arjun to the faculty," said Martin Ostrowski, dean of the School of Computing & Academic Studies. "His expertise in cloud administration and network infrastructure aligns perfectly with the technical demands of our curriculum and the needs of our employers."

Students in the first-year Network & Cloud Administration cohort will be among the first to study under Mr. Mehta. The program also has a part-time option, Computer Systems Technology (Part-time), which shares many of the same foundational courses.

Mr. Mehta's appointment adds to the department's teaching staff, which is chaired by Anjali Deshmukh. The Computing & Information Technology department also offers programs in Computer Systems Technology and Cybersecurity, as well as the four-year Bachelor of Applied Technology — Software Development.
