Summer fitness programs launch for campus and community
Wrenford Polytechnic's Kestrel Centre is opening its doors to a new set of summer fitness classes starting in July. The programs are designed for both current students and members of the wider Wrenford community, offering a mix of high-intensity training and wellness sessions.
The summer schedule features a variety of drop-in and scheduled classes. Yoga sessions will be held twice weekly, focusing on flexibility and stress relief. Swimming lessons are available for all skill levels, from beginner strokes to advanced lap swimming. Personal training sessions are also now bookable for students who want one-on-one guidance on their fitness goals.
"We want the Kestrel Centre to be a hub for health and wellness throughout the summer, not just during the academic year," said Sylvie Laframboise, Vice-President, Students. "These programs give students a chance to stay active while on break, and we are thrilled to share these facilities with the local community as well."
Students can book sessions through the campus portal. Community members are welcome to attend classes for a small fee, which helps support the maintenance of the gymnasium and fitness centre equipment. The Kestrel Centre will operate on extended hours during the summer term, with the gym open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays.
