Soccer team signs three new players from local high schools

Wrenford Kestrels soccer adds local talent

The Wrenford Polytechnic athletics department has confirmed that three student-athletes from City of Wrenford high schools have joined the men's and women's soccer squads for the upcoming winter term.

The recruits bring local experience to the Kestrels program. The team, which competes in the provincial college athletics conference, will head into the new season with a mix of returning veterans and fresh faces looking to make their mark on the pitch at Kestrel Field.

"We are thrilled to welcome these three talented players to the Wrenford Polytechnic family," said a spokesperson for the athletics department. "Their dedication to the sport and their connection to our community makes them a great fit for the Kestrels."

Soccer is one of several varsity sports offered by the college, alongside basketball, volleyball, and curling. The Kestrel Centre and Kestrel Field on the Benchlands Campus serve as the primary training and competition venues for the teams.

Student-athletes interested in joining a team can book a gym session or find out more about intramural and varsity tryouts through the athletics office.
