About Shauna Murtagh
Shauna Murtagh is a faculty member in the Electrical & Mechanical Trades department at Wrenford Polytechnic's Benchlands Campus. She teaches in the School of Skilled Trades & Transportation, where she helps students build the practical skills needed for careers in the skilled trades.
Shauna's teaching areas include electrical techniques, construction and maintenance electrician training, and industrial mechanic millwright fundamentals. Her courses blend classroom theory with hands-on work in the college's welding bays and shop spaces, so students can apply what they learn in real-world settings.
Before joining the college, Shauna spent several years working in industrial maintenance and electrical systems, giving her a strong grasp of what employers look for in new hires. She brings that industry perspective into the classroom, helping students connect their studies to the jobs they will step into after graduation.
Students can contact Shauna about their courses, shop safety, or career questions related to the electrical and mechanical trades. She holds office hours in the Tamarack Building and is happy to meet by appointment.
